A life lived in music, told through film.
Founder of White Elephant Pictures — Thailand–Denmark.
Profile
Danish filmmaker and director based in Bangkok. Founder of White Elephant Pictures — a Thailand–Denmark co-production company built on two decades of storytelling in the performing arts.
Constantine came to film the way most honest filmmakers do — sideways, through a different door. Over 500 concerts, years on the road, recording sessions in Nashville, Scotland and Thailand. Music was the first language. Film is where it found its fullest form.
Formally trained as an actor at the Danish Film Actors Academy and Panorama Academy for Actors in Copenhagen, he crossed into directing through a friend's script and a small budget — and chose to treat that as the education. He holds a degree in Multimedia Design and has built his filmmaking practice the same way he built his music career. "Every scene I direct, I'm trying to build the emotional architecture of a song."
His work is character-driven, visually precise, and emotionally rooted. He writes, directs, produces, and scores his own projects. Currently in production on his debut feature — A Girl Named Melody, a music-driven road movie set in Thailand.

Feature Film · Thailand–Denmark Co-Production
A music-driven road movie set in Thailand. Built on 20 years of creative experience — and a story only he could tell.
Claes writes, directs, produces, and composes the score. The film draws from the same well as his entire creative life: character at its centre, music in its bones, and the open road as its canvas.
A mute Thai girl loses her mother and gains a father she never knew — a washed-up Danish musician. Together, they must cross Thailand to find her legendary grandfather. Their only common language: music.

Actor
With over 20 years as a professional singer, guitarist, and performing artist, Claes Cem Constantine brings deep stage experience to every role. The stage was his first classroom — 500 concerts across five countries before he ever stood in front of a camera.
Trained at the Danish Film Actors Academy under the Carmohn method and at Panorama Academy for Actors in Copenhagen, specialising in the Ivana Chubbuck technique. He works from the inside out — emotionally rooted, physically precise, and always in service of the story.

Music
Music has always been Claes Cem Constantine's first language. Over more than two decades as a professional performing artist, he played over 500 concerts across Denmark, Scotland, Germany, the United States, and Thailand — recording in Nashville, earning four singles in rotation on Danish National Radio (DR P4), and winning the Emagenza Award for Best Singer.
As a composer, that musical foundation runs directly into his film work. He scores his own projects — writing and recording original music for HAV – The Sea, KASSEN – The Box, and the upcoming feature A Girl Named Melody, where music is not just accompaniment but the structural spine of the story.
His songs have been placed in film and television projects, including programmes on ABC in the United States. Constantine Noble is the artist name and performing alias built for his original music — cinematic folk rooted in storytelling. It is not a side project. It is where a large part of his creative life lives: writing songs, performing live, and developing a separate artistic world that draws from the same well as his filmmaking.
Bio
Claes Cem Constantine is a Danish filmmaker, actor, screenwriter, and songwriter whose life and work have unfolded across continents. He grew up between Nicaragua, the Caribbean, and India — journeying with his mother through communities of artists, musicians, and humanitarian workers. When not abroad, his childhood was divided between the quiet Danish countryside and the vibrant pulse of Copenhagen.
Music was his first language. From a young age, Claes picked up the guitar and began writing songs — not just melodies, but characters and scenes that played out like small films. At 17, he became part of Circus Magica, an artist collective based in Prague. Over more than 20 years as a professional performing artist, he played over 500 concerts across Denmark, Scotland, Germany, the United States, and Thailand.
He lived in Scotland for over four years, first touring as Captain Mirage, then returning under his own name Claes Cem — the latter tour alongside Injuns of Skye, funded by the Scottish Arts Council. He subsequently spent four years across San Francisco, Nashville, and Los Angeles, earning four singles in rotation on Danish National Radio (DR P4), and winning the Emagenza Award for Best Singer. His work was placed on ABC television programmes including The Bachelor and Extreme Makeover.
Back in Denmark, he completed a degree in Multimedia Design — a discipline that bridged his creative life between sound, image, and storytelling. It was a quiet but significant turning point, one that pointed him toward the screen.
